Young Abundance is an educational service and event planning charitable business which empowers communities to see, utilize, and produce bounty through gardening, cooking, and problem solving with waste. Services include educational childcare, classroom programing, permaculture consultation, and edible landscape design.
Miss Alexis, the proprietor, educator, and consultant, has been working in Curriculum Development and Sustainability Education since 2003. She has created educational programs for ages 2-50, serving over 2,000 students, including 9 organic Kitchen gardens. She has worked as a vegan chef, international community developer, waldorf-inspired garden and cooking teacher, Outdoor School field Iinstructor, and currently works as a guest speaker on waste reduction. Alexis has completed Permaculture Design Certification. Her bachelor’s of science is in Environmental Science and Community Development from Portland State University. She now spends her time organizing community events, cultivating food in urban spaces, and cooking with preschool students, middle school students, and families.
